Thanks Giving
I just want to give Thanks to the things that A.D.D./A.D.H.D. have brought into my life.
**My two children who are beautiful, caring, creative, passionate individuals that teach me new lessons each day such as thinking outside the box, taking the road less traveled and sometimes abandoning the road and forging your own path
**The courage to stand up for what I believe in, even when I stand alone
**The strength to do what I know is right and not give in to a quick fix
**The on-going lessons in patience I am getting from dealing with my family and school systems
**The lessons in improving communication skills and making sure I speak my truth and it is being heard
**All the people who encourage and support me especially my mentors Marilee Tolen and John Maeder who support and guide me along the way by sharing their information and knowing
**Divine guidance for allowing me to see all of this and "the big picture"
They say that Attitude is everything. I am now chosing the Attitude of Gratitude and will view this "diagnosis" as a blessing not a curse. For it is in our hardest lessons we find our purpose.
Thank You and Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!!
